Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF)

The JTTF is responsible for all domestic and international terrorism matters in the two-state territory. The JTTF mission is to prevent acts of terrorism before they occur, and to effectively and swiftly respond to any actual criminal terrorist act by identifying and prosecuting those responsible. The following agencies participate in the JTTF on a full-time or part-time basis:

• Central Intelligence Agency

• US Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms

• US Immigration and Customs Enforcement

• US Internal Revenue Service

• US Department of State (Bureau of Diplomatic Security)

• US Marshals Service

• US Postal Inspection Service

• New York State Office of Inspection General

• New York State Police  and  Vermont State Police

• Albany, New York, Police Department

• Schenectady, New York, Police Department

• Troy, New York, Police Department
